Posted Date: 4/28/25 (7:15 PM)

Dear FPS Staff and Families,

I am pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2025, Lori Bruce will be the new Director of Special Education for the District.

With over 20 years in the field of special education and student services, Ms. Bruce comes to us with a B.A from Boston University and a Master’s Degree from Lesley University. Since 2019, she has been the Director of Student Supports in Carlisle Public Schools. Ms. Bruce has a strong background in Special Education and Student Support Services, where she has overseen special education, an integrated preschool, health and wellness services, and supports for English Language Learners. Her previous roles have also included leadership positions at Milestones Day School and the Southover Partnership in London, where she designed and implemented impactful systems for students with Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. In her work, she has focused on promoting student success through inclusive practices, strategic leadership, and collaborative program development.

“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredible educators, families, and students—and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to this new role,” said Ms. Bruce. “I’m especially excited to collaborate with the dedicated team in Framingham to continue building strong, equitable systems that help all students thrive.”

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Bruce to Framingham Public Schools.

Very truly yours,

Bob Tremblay
