Can you even believe this is that last weekend of September? Some days I feel like we’ve been in school forever, and others I feel like it was just summer break! We are continuing to practice and strengthen our classroom routines.
In reading, we started to use book bags at school. We will be reading our paper books over and over again and trying to recognize some of the words! Our sight words this week are from our poem, “A Little Apple Seed.”
We are continuing our unit on storytelling in Writers Workshop. Sometimes, it can be hard for students to think about a story to tell and write. The kids are working on drawing and labeling pictures across three pages to tell a simple story.
Lastly, I sent out a link for fall conferences. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you can’t find anything that works. I’m super-flexible and know we can find a time to meet :-)
