Accomplishment from the Department of Multilingual Education

Framingham’s own Assistant Director of Multilingual Education, Darlene Pugnali, has been invited by the Portuguese Consulate General in Boston, MA to speak about Dual Language Education at the Portuguese as a Heritage Language Olympics’ award ceremony on September 11th, 2021.

The Portuguese as a Heritage Language Olympics are aimed at Brazilian students between 9 and 15 years old. The objective is to disseminate the Brazilian language and culture, as well as to promote the appreciation and integration of schools and teachers. It is a joint organization of the Consulate General of Brazil in Boston and the Council of Brazilian Citizens, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We are proud of Ms. Pugnali for her dedication to our Portuguese-speaking community here in Framingham.
