Framingham Public Schools Announces Dr. Amy Gerade as Principal of Framingham High School
Monday, March 13, 2023 (Framingham, MA) - Dr. Tremblay, Superintendent of Framingham Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Amy Gerade has been selected as the next Principal of Framingham High School (FHS), effective July 1, 2023.
To support the administration, staff, and day-to-day operations of the building during Ms. Carolyn Banach’s leave, Dr. Gerade was named Interim Principal earlier this school year. Today, the district shared that FHS Principal Carolyn Banach will retire at the end of the current school year, and Dr. Tremblay, Superintendent of Schools, announced his decision to appoint Dr. Gerade Principal of FHS.
“It was evident during my nine-day residency at FHS that Dr. Gerade, currently the Acting Principal, has already established positive relationships with students, staff, and families,” offered Dr. Tremblay. “Dr. Gerade continues to refine systems and structures to improve operations at FHS and, based on our many conversations, she has a forward vision for FHS that aims to create new opportunities for students while simultaneously addressing space utilization challenges among other leadership skills that would serve her well in the role that she has already been carrying out since the fall of 2022.”
The district is grateful for Ms. Banach’s 6-years of dedicated service as Principal of Framingham High School and is confident that Dr. Gerade’s leadership will continue to serve the students, families, and staff of the Framingham High School community well as we begin this new chapter.
