Framingham Public Schools Announces Kathie Lasky as the Next Principal of Dunning Elementary School

February 7, 2023 (Framingham, MA): Dr. Robert Tremblay, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce Kathie Lasky as the Principal of Dunning Elementary School, effective July 1, 2023. Please see the communication from Dr. Tremblay to Framingham stakeholders below:

I am pleased to announce that I have selected Kathie Lasky as the next Principal of Dunning Elementary School, effective July 1, 2023.

Kathie Lasky is currently the Vice Principal at Dunning Elementary. She has been an educator for more than 25 years.  In that time, Mrs. Lasky has served in a variety of teaching and administrative roles. Prior to coming to Dunning, she held teaching positions in all grade levels, preschool through 5th grade, in both a general education and special education capacity.  Mrs. Lasky also served as the Language Arts Coordinator at the AMIT Community Day School, and the Director of Circle of Friends Preschool.  Mrs. Lasky graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and earned a Master of Arts in Education from Lesley University. She also has a Master of Arts in Education in Organizational Management Leadership from the Educational Leadership Institute and Endicott College.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to become the next principal of Dunning Elementary.  Since the first day I walked through the doors at Dunning, I have felt a special connection to the students, staff and families. I believe that what makes Dunning such a special place is the sense of community.  I look forward to carrying forth the positive and inclusive culture set in place.”

The District is grateful to Principal Michele Schecter for her dedicated years of service to the Dunning community.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Lasky upon her selection as the next Principal at Dunning Elementary School.

Very truly yours,

Bob Tremblay
