The Parent Information Center at Framingham Public Schools Invites Parents and Guardians with Incoming Kindergarteners to Attend a Kindergarten Information Night

Thursday, December 19, 2019 (Framingham, MA): The Parent Information Center at Framingham Public Schools invites parents / guardians with incoming Kindergarten students to the annual Kindergarten Information Night at Fuller Middle School on Monday, January 13th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

“Previously referred to as the Kindergarten Information Fair or Expo, Kindergarten Information Night is an important part of the registration process,” said Mikaele Neves, Director of the Parent Information Center. “At this event families will learn about the Kindergarten experience and learn the details around the controlled school choice process. In addition to a short presentation and a video, families will have the chance to speak with District Administration and Departments to learn about various resources available to them in Kindergarten beyond. This is a great opportunity for families to get all of their questions answered in one place. We understand the registration process can be overwhelming for those that are new to Framingham Public Schools and we want to ease any and all concerns. We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2033 and to the start of our journey together.”

Following the 6pm presentation, attendees can walk through the cafeteria at Fuller Middle School to meet and speak with representatives from Special Education, Transportation, Bilingual Education, School Health Services, ECAF (Early Childhood Alliance of Framingham), Before and After School Programs, Citywide PTO, and other Community Partners. Parents and Guardians can also purchase ‘Class of 2033’ t-shirts for $10.

The Kindergarten pre-registration process began on November 1st for families with children who will be five years old by August 31, 2020. Anyone who has not yet completed the online pre-registration can do so via Registration Gateway.

In case that schools are closed on January 13, 2020, the event will be rescheduled to Monday, January 27, 2020.
