Update on the Superintendent's Contract

August 30, 2019 (Framingham, MA): The Framingham School Committee and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert Tremblay have agreed to terms on a long-term contract.  The details were negotiated during recent meetings, and now a vote on the contract is on the agenda at the School Committee meeting scheduled for September 4th at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting packet with the contract and other supporting documents for the agenda which also includes a Back to School update, a first reading on a new Homework Policy, and a report on the Fuller Middle School Project can be found here.

After Dr. Tremblay received a score of “Proficient” in his most recent evaluation by the School Committee on June 19, 2019, the School Committee voted unanimously to enter into contract negotiations for the purposes of reappointment.  Over the last few months the Superintendent and School Committee discussed his intention to remain in Framingham and worked through a formal process to come to an agreement on these terms.  Both the Massachusetts Association of School Committees and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents assisted the parties during this process.
