Framingham Public Schools is pleased to announce Eugene Scott Penrod as the Director of Safety and Security.

November 8, 2018 (Framingham, MA): Dr. Robert Tremblay, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce that Eugene Scott Penrod has been hired as the first Director of Safety and Security for the Framingham Public School District.

“We have been searching for a long time to select the best possible candidate to join our Senior Leadership Team and to focus on the many aspects of emergency response planning and overall safety and security oversight for our school district,” said Dr. Tremblay, Superintendent of Framingham Public Schools. “Scott’s varied background in this industry coupled with his knowledge of Framingham, his connection to students in our district as a coach, and his strong, established relationships among our community of first-responders, makes him an ideal Director of Safety and Security for the Framingham Public Schools.”

Scott is a graduate of Framingham State College with over 30 years’ experience in the Safety and Security Field with Marriott International. Scott has held many positions within his 30 years with Marriott including his latest as Director of Loss Prevention at the Boston Marriott Copley.  He has been a member of the Framingham Auxiliary Police for the last 18 years working closely with all aspects of public safety. Scott has been part of the Framingham Youth Hockey Program Board of Directors for many years and well as a coach for Framingham United Soccer. He resides in Framingham with his wife Jayne and his children Jake and Caitlyn.

“As a longtime member of this great city, I look forward to bringing my thirty years of experience in the safety/security field to support and enhance the safe environment for all members of the Public School community,” said Scott Penrod.
