Congratulations to all of the students who participated in Harmony Grove School's Science Fair on Saturday January 28, 2023!  We had so much fun exploring many science topics including the solar system, volcanoes, renewable energy, fossils, slime, rockets, and more!

Students reflected on how they demonstrated many traits, skills, and key concepts that are important parts of our International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program.  For example, they showed the IB traits of being inquirers, thinkers, risk-takers, communicators, and reflective.  They showed the IB skills of thinking skills, research skills, self-management skills, social skills, and communication skills.  Some of the IB key concepts that students researched included form, function, causation, and responsibility.  This Science Fair was a proud moment to highlight the IB Learning at our school!

Thank you to our hard-working PTO for organizing the Science Fair! Thank you to all of the families and staff members who supported students with their science projects and for everyone who attended the event.  We especially appreciate the help of School Committee Chair and State Representative Priscila Sousa as well as the help of the Vice Chair of the Framingham Board of Library Trustees Leslie White Harvey for presenting the certificates of participation to the students at the awards ceremony.
