Framingham Public Schools Invites Community Members to Join the Interview Committee as Part of the Search Process for a New Director of Fine and Performing Arts

April 12, 2022 (Framingham, MA) - As announced on April 1st, Framingham Public Schools is currently seeking a new Director of Fine and Performing Arts. The District is seeking support from community members to join the Interview Committee that will help identify the next Director to lead the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. This is an important opportunity to engage in a collaborative process that will allow stakeholders to work together in reviewing applicants for this important role.

The Purpose:
The Committee will interview selected candidates and make recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools. The Committee will serve in a consultative role as Massachusetts General Laws place the appointment of administrators solely in the hands of the Superintendent.

What Is Required?
All Screening Committee members must undergo a full training, which includes an anti-bias training, and commit to a significant amount of time for interviews. All meetings will be virtual. Screening Committee members MUST attend ALL meetings.

When?

  • Orientation and Anti-Bias Training Monday, May 2, 2022 from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

  • Interviews Day #1: Tuesday, May 10, 2022  from 4:30 pm  - 8:30 pm

  • Interviews Day #2:  Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4:30 pm  - 8:30 pm

In rare circumstances, dates will need to change to ensure a better pool of applicants; in such a case, an announcement will be made as soon as possible.

It is very important for us to have a diverse screening committee that celebrates and mirrors the diversity of our students.  Please complete the application BY April 19. [Add link to language-based application]
