Framingham Public Schools is Proud to Announce Dr. Aradhana Mudambi as the Director of the Office of Multilingual Education

April 12, 2021 (Framingham, MA): Dr. Robert Tremblay, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce Dr. Aradhana Mudambi as the Director of the Department of Multilingual Education for Framingham Public Schools, effective July 1, 2021. 

Dr. Aradhana Mudambi is currently the Director of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Bilingual Education, and World Languages Department at Windham Public Schools in Willimantic, Connecticut. Prior to her current position, Dr. Mudambi was an Assistant Principal for a middle school in Windham and a Bilingual Teacher in Texas. Dr. Mudambi is a graduate of Rice University, has a Masters from the University of Houston and Harvard University, and received her Doctorate from Harvard University.  Dr. Mudambi is trilingual herself.  She speaks Tamil and Spanish in addition to English. The interview process for this position consisted of multiple parts, beginning with a staff and community survey. A Screening Committee, composed of staff members and parents, gathered several times to refine interview questions and meet the candidates. Through this process, Dr. Mudambi was promoted to a finalist. Following this, the District hosted a 'Meet the Candidates' Forum where attendees were invited to ask questions and provide feedback in a survey to Dr. Tremblay, Superintendent of Framingham Public Schools. 

Dr. Mudambi is looking forward to joining Framingham Public Schools and is excited for the opportunity to serve such a vibrant, multilingual community.
