Framingham Public Schools is Pleased to Announce the Appointment of Marguerite Lackard as the Principal of King Elementary School 

Framingham, MA – June 19, 2019: Dr. Robert Tremblay, Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to appoint Dr. Marguerite Lackard as Principal of George P. King Elementary School. A long-time Framingham resident and active community member, Dr. Lackard is looking forward to the opportunity to utilize her years of experience to help support teacher growth and development, ensure that children are provided with skills and tools to put them in the best position to learn, and to build relationships with families that is based on collaboration. 

"As we continue to define and implement our commitment to the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, I feel fully confident that Dr. Lackard is the leader who can help us to champion this work," said Dr. Tremblay, Superintendent of Framingham Public Schools. "Her strong skills in these disciplines coupled with her ability to develop and nurture relationships within and among staff, families, and children, have solidified - for me - her candidacy for this position. I appreciate the feedback that was provided following the various meetings and forum events as this too was helpful in making my decision."

Dr. Marguerite Lackard is currently a Mathematics Department Head and Mathematics Teacher at Walsh Middle School in Framingham, where she has worked since 2000. Prior to that, she was a Medical Consultant Boston Juvenile Court in Boston and a Pediatric Physician at Boston Medical Center in Boston. A graduate of City College of New York, she earned a Bachelor of Science and pursued her Doctorate of Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center. She earned her Masters in Education from Cambridge College.
