Framingham Public Schools is pleased to announce the Screening Committee’s recommendations for King Elementary School Principal finalists.


Dr. Marguerite Simpson-Lackard
is currently a Mathematics Department Head and Mathematics Teacher at Walsh Middle School in Framingham, where she has worked since 2000. Prior to that, she was a Medical Consultant Boston Juvenile Court in Boston and a Pediatric Physician at Boston Medical Center in Boston. A graduate of City College of New York, she earned a Bachelor of Science and pursued her Doctorate of Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center. She earned her Masters in Education from Cambridge College.
 
Dr. Jennifer Evans, Ph.D. is currently an Instructional Coach K-4 at Chamberlain Elementary School in Taunton. Prior to that, she was a Teacher at the Edmund Hatch Bennett Elementary School in Taunton. A graduate from Lesley University, she earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Studies, having earlier earned her CAGS from Cambridge College. She also earned a Masters Degree in Educational Studies from Tufts University and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Framingham State College.
 

A “Meet the Candidates” Faculty and Staff Forum will take place on Monday, June 17 at King Elementary School in Room 207 as follows:

  • Dr. Marguerite Simpson-Lackard: 8:20am - 8:40am
  • Dr. Jennifer Evans, Ph.D.: 8:45am - 9:05am

A “Meet the Candidates” Parent/Community Forum will take place on Monday, June 17 at King Elementary School in the King Cafeteria from 6:20 pm to 7:40 pm. This will be streamed live through Framingham Public Schools Facebook Page for those who cannot attend.

Surveys will be provided to offer feedback to the Superintendent of Schools regarding each candidate.
