Framingham Public Schools is pleased to announce the Screening Committee’s recommendations for King Elementary School Principal finalists.
Ms. Trelane Clark is currently an Assistant Principal at Newman Elementary School in Needham, Massachusetts. Prior to that she was an Academy Leader at Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle School in Dorchester and a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at the Parkside Christian Academy/Cross Factor Academy in Boston. Having begun her educational career as a teacher at the Rafael Hernandez Two-Way Bilingual Elementary School in Roxbury, she also taught in elementary schools in Virginia and Washington, D.C. Ms. Clark graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Teaching-Elementary Education. She also has a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Mr. John P. Maynard is currently a Principal at Winthrop Elementary School in Melrose, Massachusetts. Prior to that he was the Assistant Principal of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham. Having begun his educational career as a teacher in the Horace Mann Middle School in Franklin, he also taught in the American School of Campinas (Lower School) in Brazil before becoming the Assistant Principal of Fuller Middle School in Framingham. Mr. Maynard graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned a Master of Arts in History as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Northeastern University. He also has a Master of Education in Education Administration from Harvard University.
Ms. Kristen St. George is currently an Interim Principal at the Hanscom Primary School (Grades PreK-3) on the Hanscom Air Force Base in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Prior to that she was the Principal of the Chenery Middle School in Belmont and the Principal of East Middle School in Braintree. Having begun her educational career as a teacher in the Haverhill Public Schools, she was also the Assistant Principal and then Principal of the J.F.K. Middle School in Natick. Ms. St. George graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a Bachelor of Arts. She also earned a Master of Arts in Education Leadership and Management from Fitchburg State College.
A “Meet the Candidates” Faculty and Staff Forum will take place on Tuesday, May 29 at King Elementary School in Room 103 as follows:

- Ms. Trelane Clark 8:50 am - 9:15 am
- Ms. Kristen St. George 3:45 pm - 4:10 pm
A “Meet the Candidates” Parent/Community Forum will take place on Tuesday, May 29 at King Elementary School in the King Cafeteria from 6:30 pm to 8:10 pm. This will be streamed live through Facebook for those who cannot attend.
Surveys will be provided to offer feedback to the Superintendent of Schools regarding each candidate.
