Please Join Framingham High School for their 2018 Multicultural Fair
Framingham High School is hosting their Annual Multicultural Fair - an event for families to share their traditions and culture with the rest of the Framingham Public Schools Community.
Wednesday, October 3, 2018
6:30pm - 8:00pm
Framingham High School Cafeteria (115 A Street)
Share Your Culture
A Multicultural Fair doesn't exist without showcasing many different cultures. Please consider hosting a table so you can present any special days or holidays of recognition, general information about your nationality, family traditions, music, food, clothing, and any other interesting things about your culture for this event. If you are interested in participating in the Multicultural Fair, please fill out the form linked below and mail it to the appropriate address. Specific information related to hosting your table will be presented as the event gets closer, but please plan on arriving at FHS that night by 6:00pm to set up. The school will provide tables and chairs, but the rest is up to you!
If you plan on selling food, you must remember to bring the proper dishes and utensils as we will not have any extras. You also might want to bring a tablecloth for sanitary purposes. Please note that if you are planning on selling anything at the event, you must send in $20 with your sign-up sheet (either cash or check) in order to comply with school policies. Please be sure to make any checks out to Framingham High School. The deadline for table applications is Monday, September 24th.
While the main focus of the event is to showcase the different countries of origin that FPS families come from, feel free to also sign up if you have any other cultures you'd like to present
Attend and Learn
Framingham High School's Multicultural fair is an event designed for families to share information about their country of origin and culture with the rest of the Framingham Public Schools Community. Organized and run by the current Junior Class of 2020 at FHS, the fair was created to bring awareness and showcase the unique diversity in our school district.
At the fair, there will be table / booths set up throughout the entire cafeteria where attendees can learn about the diverse places and culture represented across the school District. Families who wish to host tables will also have the option to sell products from their culture (ethnic dishes / food samples, clothing, crafts, etc.). The event is open to everyone in the FPS district including students, parents, family members, friends, and faculty. In short, if you live in Framingham and would like to learn about the different places the people in our city come from, please stop by!
Other general information about the event:
- It will be held in the school cafeteria at FHS, so there will be plenty of space for everyone to walk around and visit different booths
- It is completely free to attend; however, it might be a good idea to bring some money in case you would like to buy food or other items that families might be selling
- Families from any of the Framingham Public Schools, not just the high school, are more than welcome to run a booth as well as attend the event
