Looks like the new teaching team at King enjoyed this part of their 4 day PD “Sabbatical” at the Museum of Science, Boston. This portion of the PD is funded by a grant to the MOS from Genzyme (and we are grateful!).
Teachers are doing a combo of learning about science pedagogy (inquiry) and working on unit/lesson development. In the photos you see the teachers working on the daily STEAM challenge to build a device that would provide the highest bounce to a golf ball dropped on it from a specific height.

This event is a special, family-oriented clinic session, during which they will just offer school physicals (no adult/acute care appointments)
