Framingham Public Schools provides a broad array of services for children and youth identified with disabilities from the ages of three through twenty-two. State and federal special education laws and regulations, namely The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), govern the referral, evaluation, and placement procedures. Framingham Public Schools is committed to the goal of providing an appropriate education for students with needs in the least restrictive environment.

Coordinated Program Review Press Release
The Massachusetts Department of Education conducted a review of Framingham’s programs for Special Education, Civil Rights, and Career Education complete with a site visit in December, 2014.

Centralized Bus Drop-off
2/1/23: Starting February 6, 2023, we will be launching a second-year transportation pilot program that will bring students who are unable to be dropped off at their bus stop in the afternoon to Barbieri Elementary School

International Holocaust Remembrance Day
1/25/23: January 27th is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest concentration camp and extermination center created by Nazi Germany. On this day, we remember the victims who perished due to the actions carried out by the Nazis and their collaborators.
