Hi, I'm Mrs. Kristi Daley, I have been teaching at Potter Road since 2006 when I taught 1 year of half day Kindergarten. The following year I began teaching first grade and have been here ever since. I absolutely love teaching first grade. To me there is something magical about this year and I feel so honored to be a part of your child's development in this important time.
I grew up right here in Framingham, I attended project blocks in it's very first year, Hemenway Elementary School, Walsh Middle School, and then Framingham High School where I was a part of the gymnastics and cheerleading teams. After graduating I attended the Pennsylvania State University. I enjoyed many exciting football games while receiving an amazing education. For my student teaching I was accepted into a student teaching program called the Professional Development School. This experience required me to participate in my student teaching experience for a full year rather than just one semester. This program provided me with invaluable experience that I would not have received in a traditional student teaching program. During this experience I taught in a 1st/2nd grade combined classroom at Park Forest Elementary school in State College, PA. I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary education. I went on to get my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Fitchburg State College in 2011.
When home from college breaks I worked as a gymnastics instructor/team coach at Gymnastics Express in Natick, MA. I also worked here for a year after graduating from college before I began teaching at Potter Road. I have had extensive years of experience working with children in many different settings and I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I feel very lucky to have been able to pursue a career that I love so much.
My family is very important to me. My husband Mark and I met and in High School and got married in 2007. We have 2 young boys, Ryan who turned 4 in May and Jackson who will turn 3 in January. The boys keep me very busy and on my toes at all times. When I do have a little bit of free time I enjoy running, yoga, enjoying time with friends and family, and reading. My family enjoys playing outside together at the playground and taking trips down to Clearwater, FL when we can!
