ECAF

  • Early Childhood Alliance of Framingham (ECAF)

The Early Childhood Alliance of Framingham (ECAF) helps children, families, and community partners navigate common pathways that support children's healthy growth and development and promote early education right from the start.

The ECAF provides access to: resources and referrals, early literacy and school readiness activities in the home (nationally recognized ParentChild+ home visitation program) and in the groups (signature Play, Learn, and Grow Together groups), family education speciality programs, information about your child's development through the Ages & Stages Parent Questionairre, transition support, and leadership opportunities.

BLOCKS Preschool

  • Building Learning Opportunities for Children’s Kindergarten Success (BLOCKS) Preschool Program

B.L.O.C.K.S. Preschool promotes a flexible atmosphere that considers children individually and as members of a group. The program provides a variety of resources that address children's particular interests, needs and levels of development.

Learning through play, development of self-concept, the growth of language and respect for others will be fostered in order to maximize future school success. The ultimate goal of this program is to instill in children a curiosity about their world and a hunger to learn.

Enrollment applications are due in January for the following year and the program generally follows the Framingham Public Schools District Calendar (holidays, vacation, snow days, etc). However, there are specific schedule adjustments. Children who attend BLOCKD must be 3yo and fully toilet trained.

Partnerships for Early Learners (PEL)

  • Partnerships for Early Learners

    Expanding Pre-K learning opportunities

Framingham Public Schools and its community partners, MetroWest YMCA and Framingham State University-Centers for Early Childhood Education will begin registration of four-year-old children in the community with a focus on those who may not otherwise have access, resources, finances, or the opportunity to attend high quality early education programs before entering Kindergarten.

Interested families will need to meet eligibility criteria for acceptance into PEL. A lottery may take place to fill these PreK spots for children to attend before entering Kindergarten in September.
