Welcome to our Classroom!
Hello! Welcome to room 7 at B.L.O.C.K.S. Preschool! My name is Kimberly Plourde and I am the teacher of the young preschool classroom at Juniper Hill. We are going to have so much fun this year! We will read a lot of books, create art projects, and make new friends.
In my class, we will focus on fostering independence. This will be done through consistent routines, lots of photos for easy identification for independent clean up, and classroom jobs to demonstrate their new classroom skills. The children will learn that they can do so much on their own which will make them feel successful and build their confidence in their school abilities.
Preschoolers are so much fun to teach. They are so excited to try new things and they’re so proud of themselves when they learn. It is my favorite grade to teach. This is my fifth year as an early childhood teacher, and my first year teaching at B.L.O.C.K.S. I received my BFA in Writing from Emerson College, my M.Ed in Early Childhood Education as well as my CAGS in Special Education from Anna Maria College. When I’m not teaching I love to read books, and watch the Red Sox and the Patriots. I also love playing with my two whippets, Bailey and Riley.
