“What motivates me most is the positive impact and growth that you can have on a student's life. I believe that students are individuals and must be treated as such. As an educational leader I believe that it is important to make sure that each student has the same educational opportunities as the next and in the least restrictive environment. Each student must be taught by educators who believe that you teach the child not the subject and will do what is necessary to ensure the child’s success.”

“The principal’s leadership in the areas of integrity, fairness, and ethical behavior creates a framework for high achievement for teachers, students, and staff (Shipman and Queen, 2007).”

James Bergeron - Asst. Principal

I have been an educator in Framingham since 2005. I started my career as a teacher at Fuller MIddle School, where I taught a mix of 6th, 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. In September of 2012, I became an Assistant Principal at Fuller and then a year later began at Walsh.

Though I work with all studnets, this year my primary caseload is the 6th grade and 7th grade students whose last names start with A - K.

At home I have a wonderful wife, who also works in education, and two beautiful daughters, Mia and Emme.

Aside from education and my love of history, for my entire life, I have have been interested in sports. When I was younger I played sports most seasons, and by the time I was in high school, I was competing year-round in soccer and track.

I am an avid Boston sports fan and spend my free time cheering for our local teams.
