McCarthy School Counselor
My name is Mariann Seariac-DeAraujo, but everyone calls me Mrs. DeAraujo. I was born and raised in Framingham. I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of New England in psychology. I have a master’s degree in social work from Boston College.
I have been at McCarthy Elementary School since 1996. I am married with three children. two girls, and one boy. We also have 2 cats (Max and Tessa) and 1 dog (Lola).
In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, walking our dog and reading a good book. We love to travel and I have been to many places around the world. We also travel to Brazil to visit my husband’s family every other summer.
Here at McCarthy School I enjoy working with students in many ways. Below are just some of the things you might find me doing.
In classrooms I do many lessons such as:
- Second Step

- Lunch bunch
- Recess lessons
