The Media and Communications Office has created tutorial videos and content to support tools like Remind, Smore, and Blackboard (Mass Notifications and Web Community Manager). There are also tips for photography and communications best practices. If you have any questions, please contact Rochelle Santos, the District's Media and Communications Manager.

Framingham Public Schools is partnering with Parent Teacher Home Visits, a non-profit, grassroots network, in an effort to build stronger relationships with our families. The program aims to create relationships between the Framingham Public Schools and our families. The program is about raising awareness of hopes and dreams for our students and how we, together as a school community, can realize that vision together. Staff members interested in participating in this program should contact their Site Coordinator to learn more about training and how to get started.

FPS Online system for Professional Development courses, PDP transcripts, and external credit requests.
Framingham Public Schools is a recognized provider of PDPs by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). FPS utilizes the SmartEDU web-based professional development management system. District staff and administrators can register for and receive PDPs for district-organized PD activities including PD day workshops, content and school-based workshops and partner-sponsored graduate level courses.
SmartEDU does not track PDPs awarded to educators for PD activities that take place outside the district. It is the educator’s responsibility to keep a record of their professional development. We suggest that you maintain a portfolio with documentation of all in-district as well as outside professional development activities. SmartEDU is a helpful tool for tracking PDPs awarded in-district. However, it is very important that you keep accurate records of all of your PD activities. For more information, see the DESE Educator License Renewal guidelines here: Documentation and Recordkeeping.
FPS Staff can request for their child(ren) to attend Framingham Public Schools. This is listed in the School Committee Policy JFAB “Administration of Non-Resident Students.” Complete the application linked above. It will be reviewed by the Superintendent and you will be notified in writing within 10 days of the initial request.
