Fuller Middle School

Meet Nayagara Viera

  • Hello Fuller Families, my name is Nayagara Viera and I’m proud to say I am Fuller's Out of School Time coordinator! I have been an Office of Community Resource Development team mentor and a substitute teacher at Fuller aside from working with youth for the past years. I’m originally from Brazil, I can speak Portuguese, Spanish, and English. I currently hold DDS and a Master of Science in Cell Biology, graduating with honors from UFMG, (Federal University of Minas Gerais) and I am currently pursuing a specialization in Diversity and Inclusion. My goal is to help our curriculum, flourish and enrich student leadership, their social and emotional relationships, while continuing our tradition of promoting a safe, positive, and fun environment for children to explore and grow.

Summer Programming 2022

  • In partnership with the YMCA, this 4 week program focuses on health and wellness, chemical reactions in the body and social emotional learning.  Students will learn how to use various cooking equipment, tools of measurement, proper food and kitchen safety and grow their skills to cook and develop recipes. Students will learn about foods from around the world, agriculture and sustainability in the kitchen, and the importance of physical activity and how to incorporate movement into their daily lives. We have been partners with the YMCA throughout the school year and the past few Summers. Students must attend the program for all 4 weeks. Cooking kits will be loaned to students so they can participate fully in the program.
