    Applying for grants can help infuse your library with new books and expand access to technology and more programs.     Understanding the New World Of Politics (8 mins) – Bilal HafeezFY2021: Summer and Vacation Learning Program Grant

    The purpose of this new competitive federally funded grant is to support local school districts, charter, and career vocational technical education schools efforts to develop, expand, or enhance high quality, in-person, virtual, or hybrid (combination of in-person and virtual) summer (summer 2020) and/or school vacation learning programs during the 2020-2021 school year. Grant funds may also be used to support the development and implementation of school year weekend learning programs to be implemented during the academic year.

    Scope: Seeks to support successful literacy programs that serve populations that show out of the ordinary needs, such as geographic areas with low reading scores and economically disadvantaged.

    Scope: FOR TITLE I ELIGLIBLE SCHOOLS ONLY. Seeks to support Title I schools with the purchase of classroom supplies and books.

    Scope: The program seeks to transform the lives of young students through literacy by introducing book ownership to students in household where reading is not a priority, and to improve literacy in schools with below grade-level reading skills
