This beautiful artwork of dove wings was given to us by another school in Massachusetts, a Jewish school called the Rashi School, that shares similar values about being open-minded, caring, and principled to make the world a better, more peaceful place. Each feather on these wings was designed by a student at that school to show their message of how they are taking action to spread peace. We are displaying these wings in our school for this year and hope we can work together to spread peace through our words, actions, and creativity.

Woodrow Wilson Elementary School received Authorization to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP) on June 10, 2015. IB schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School believes is important for our students.
There are many opportunities for parents, students and teachers to learn more about what it means to be an IB school. Students are IB learners every day through the IB Learner Profile. Our monthly PTO meetings and Global Gatherings also highlight some of the important academic work happening in our classrooms. We hope that you join us in sharing these exciting changes and continue to help us develop into a community of learners.
Please join us on Wednesday June 12th at 5:30 in the Woodrow Wilson cafeteria as our 5th grade students celebrate their hard work at the IB PYP Exhibition. The IB PYP Exhibition is a culminating, collaborative learning experience in the final year of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
