It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce myself to you as the principal of McCarthy Elementary School! I am delighted to be here, am eager to become an integral part of this wonderful school community, and am wholeheartedly embracing this tremendous opportunity to jump into the work with you. I actually began my teaching career in Framingham here at McCarthy and have always held a special place in my heart for this school!
I believe that a successful school consists of a community that includes children, parents, teachers, administrators and all staff working together to create a caring, committed learning environment, one which will afford the best possible education for all of its children. I believe it is the responsibility of the school leaders to provide strong communication between all stakeholders, to interact with all members of the community in a personal, caring manner, and to be aware of the individual needs of the students, teachers and parents. It is also the responsibility of the leader to foster a culture with a collaborative spirit, and to hold a clear vision that maintains the high educational expectations necessary for success.
I look forward to meeting and working with each and every one of you as we begin this journey together.
Did your address or phone number change?
Please be sure to notify the McCarthy school office as soon as possible whenever you have a change of address or a new phone number. It is extremely important that we have the most current information in case there is an emergency.
Huge thanks to Joseph Corazzini, Casey Bell, and Maggie Olegario for putting the pieces together for this incredible opportunity. Read this MetroWest Daily News article from Zane Razzaq for more information.
The philosophy behind the approach is, as Dr. Epstein advises, that “Students aren’t GIVING teachers a hard time. They are HAVING a hard time.”
All current 4th graders (rising 5th graders) are invited and encouraged to sign up for band for the next school year. Visit the FPS Elementary Band website for more information.
If you like to walk on trails, visit the beaches, play on the playgrounds, or explore other wooded areas of Framingham, please consider sharing your input for the 2020 Open Space & Recreation Plan.
