About The Department of Family and Community Engagement:
The Department of Family and Community Engagement serves to support our students’ first and most important teachers- their families and communities. To be truly committed to the success of our students, we must support their families and their communities to play an active role in the learning process. As such, the department consists of a number of divisions and initiatives that support our families and communities to engage their children in lifelong, enriching, social, emotional, and educational development; this includes the Parent Information Center (PIC), Framingham Adult ESL Plus (FAESL+), the Early Childhood Alliance of Ashland and Framingham (ECAAF), and the FPS Attendance Office. Together, these components of the family and community engagement division demonstrate the district’s deep commitment to community outreach and involvement.
