Early Education Vision

  • As our students live in an increasingly globalized world, Framingham Public Schools, in collaboration with families and our community, will ensure that every child grows and thrives in our Early Education Program. Our interdisciplinary, culturally-responsive curriculum aims for all students to embrace diversity and be a valued member of their school community. Our goal is to support student growth by building their foundational social-emotional and academic skills through hands-on, play-based, shared learning experiences that foster confident, successful lifelong learners.

In addition to BLOCKS Preschool (FPS), Framingham Public Schools is partnering with the MetroWest YMCA, Framingham State University - Centers for Early Childhood Education and Loving Nest Preschool; Partnerships for Early Learners (PEL). This is a Pre-K expansion program for Framingham-based families who are seeking to enroll their four year old children in an early education program the year before they enter Kindergarten. This expansion effort will increase accessibility to high quality early education with a focus on those who may not otherwise have access, resources, finances or opportunity.

If you suspect your child may have a disability in any area, including: learning, social, language or gross/fine motor development, a Special Education Screening will assist in determining if further/formal assessment of skills in any area is warranted.

Screenings take place at BLOCKS Preschool at 29 Upper Joclyn Avenue and take approximately 45 minutes. If you would like to schedule a preschool screening,  please contact: Donna Angus at (508) 782-6990 or email: dangus@framingham.k12.ma.us.
