Welcome to Woodrow Wilson's Technology Page. Mr. Craver is our Technology Specialist. Woodrow Wilson Elementary School is equipped with a number of Macintosh computers and PC's. Teachers have laptop windows computers and projectors in most rooms. We have a Music room with 14 computers, and a computer lab with 25 eMac computers and 2 PC.  We also have laser jet printers and Konica copy machines located throughout the school to print to.
Technology is incorporated into the school curriculum by having teachers bring students to the Computer Lab and use various learning applications or the Internet to further their studies. Classroom computers are used for the same purpose. Some of the educational software that is installed on these computers is used to help reading, writing skills, drawing skills, learning to count, and of course dictionaries and encyclopedias. During the past few years we have become more dependent on internet sites for instruction.
Mr. Craver (Technology Specialist) and Mr. Coleman (Music) also work together to make "Wake Up With Wilson". This is a bi-weekly TV show filmed here at Wilson featuring Wilson students who do the news, weather, sports and special reports. It is filmed on site at Wilson. Mr. Craver edits the film and the final version is shown throughout the building on Friday mornings.
We also work with the PTO to collect used ink jet printer cartridges to be recycled for school supplies.
