Mrs. Cruz & Mrs. Carrasquillo
My name is Paula Cruz and I work with Jackie Carrasquillo in the Sheltered English Portuguese Kindergarten Program. Most kids know us best as “Tia Paula” and “Tia Jackie”. We have been teaching together for many years here at Woodrow Wilson School. Paula has been teaching for FPS for 16 years and had taught bilingual Kindergarten as well as Sheltered 1st grade in the past. Jackie has worked in Sheltered Kindergarten for 8 years and has worked in the community with parents and children previously. We enjoy working in Kindergarten with our students. Our days are filled with sharing time, fun centers and activities, social-emotional growth opportunities such as choice time and academics. We are very excited about our school year! This year we have a large number of students so we have been working hard to ensure optimal learning opportunities for all. We have been enjoying getting to know each one of our students individually. We look forward to continue working with the Brazilian population here at Woodrow Wilson.
