WELCOME TO THIRD GRADE!!!!!
My name is Mrs. Lobo and I am very excited to be working with your students at Woodrow Wilson! I know that we are going to have an exciting and successful school year!
Many students recognize me because last year I taught second grade. Before that, I spent two years teaching third grade in Boston in a Sheltered English classroom. I have been teaching and working with English language learners for 11 years. I began my teaching career in Framingham as an ESL teacher at Woodrow and then took some time off to begin my own family. I now have two beautiful daughters and the oldest has started Kindergarten at Barbieri. I am very happy and fortunate to be working once again with such talented students, supportive parents and an amazing staff.
I am a fluent Spanish speaker, which has helped me acquire a fair amount of skills in Portuguese. LANGUAGES and language learning are very important to me and I use my own learning process to guide my teaching. My hope is that my students will take pride in being bilingual.
In my class, I hope to create a learning environment that motivates students to become active participants in their education. I want them to love learning. I encourage them to explore and ask questions. I will show them much love and attention but I will also push them to push themselves. I know they are capable of incredible accomplishments.
Third grade will open their eyes and minds to the world of Native American Indians, the Solar System, the history of Framingham, ecosystems, magnets and electricity, sound and many other wonderful experiences. I look forward to watching them learn and learning from them.
It’s going to be a great year!!
