Superintendent of Schools

Dr. Steven Hiersche

Steven Hiersche has been a superintendent in Massachusetts for the past ten years.  Prior to coming to Framingham, Steve served as Superintendent of Schools in Watertown for five years and prior to that, the Superintendent of Schools in Plymouth, also for a five year period.  In addition, Steve has been a High School and Middle School Principal in Vermont and a High School Assistant Principal in New Hampshire. He has taught High School mathematics and computer science in Westfield, MA.

Dr. Hiersche holds his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Sarasota and Masters in education from Westfield State College.  His professional activities include membership in the Educational Technology Advisory Council, Chair of the EDCO Board, Focus on Math Advisory Board with BU and EDC as well as a STEM panelist in 2007.  Steve is married and has two adult children.
