Stapleton Elementary Playground

Welcome back Stapleton families, with an extra welcome to our new Stapleton Families! We are looking forward to a fun filled and exciting year starting with our Ice Cream Social which will be held Saturday September 11th from 2pm until 3:30pm. It has always been one of Stapleton’s favorite family events.The PTO Board and I look forward to meeting you all there.

 

The mission of the PTO is to support the school community by funding educational and recreational programs that are not otherwise funded by the district. Through fund raising we help finance the field trips and creative arts program, purchase new library books along with the materials for the guided reading program, along with maintenance of our playground. We have always been very successful in our fund raising efforts and look forward to another great year. Of course none of this is possible with out the help of our Stapleton community. If you are interested in joining an existing program, whether it be a social or fund raising event, please feel free to contact myself or any of the board members.

 

Not only are we looking forward to hosting many of the Stapleton favorite events again, such as the Ice Cream Social and Student Movie Night, but we are also working hard to implement some great new programs.One of these programs is the Morning Day care program.For more information about this program please contact Michelle Brosnahan at mbros00@yahoo.com.The PTO Board is interested in more than just fun and fund raising. We are interested in providing programs that will be helpful and supportive of our Stapleton Families. If you have any ideas in starting a program or see a need for a program, again please feel free to contact myself or any of the board members.

 

Stapleton is also known for being the Environmental School. So, with that said we are making a big push to go as paperless as possible.We urge you to join the “iamstapleton” yahoo group and contact Lee Martell at lmocchi@comcast.net to be put on the loop.They will be your best sources, along with this web site, for up to date Stapleton information. Environmental consciousness surrounds our school and is embedded in our curriculum. It is now time to bring in into our homes, so please join us in our effort. Please don’t forget our Abitibi Recycling Bin!

 

For more information about the PTO please attend our first meeting.This meeting will be held in the Golden Eagle Café on September 8th at 7pm. You will be introduced to all the board members and hear about our wonderful programs.I really look forward to seeing you all there and spending a fantastic year with you.
