Framingham Schools

      The MISSION of the Framingham Schools "motor team" is to assist students with identified disabilities to participate in their educational program to the best of their abilities and as independently as possible

     Our GOAL is to provide services for students with special needs in the least restrictive environment, preschool to grade 12.  School services help to ensure access to learning and educational progress.

Titles and description of services they provide

Occupational Therapy (OT) and OT Assistant (COTA)
The school based OT is concerned with the analysis & treatment of a student's ability to perform classroomactivities.

Adapted Physical Education
School based Adapted Physical Education provides a foundation for learning & performing gross motor skills so that students with disabilities are able to fully & safely participate in Physical Education activities to the best of their abilities

Physical Therapy (PT) and Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
School based PT is concerned with a student's functional physical & motor abilities related to safety, mobility, seating & positioning for optimal learning

The Motor Team provides school related therapies and services designed to enhance a student's ability to participate in the educational process.

**Please note that is is possible that a student may need medical therapy in a clinical setting but NOT be eligible for services in the educational setting.
