Directions
Potter Road Elementary is located at 492 Potter Road in Framingham, MA.
From Route 9, follow Edgell Rd. to the intersection of Edgell and Water St. Turn right onto Water St. Pass by Hemenway School (on your left), continue approx. .3 mile, then bear left onto Potter Rd. Our school is approx. .5 mile down on the right.
From Route 126/Old Conn. Path (which turns into Elm St. at Saxonville lights), follow Elm St. past Stapleton School and Cameron Middle School (both on your right). Approx. .2 mile beyond Cameron on your left is Potter Road. Our school is approx. .6 mile down on the left.

Important Information for the Front and Back Drop Off/Parking Areas!
New Parking Changes for Mary Agnes Rd. Drop Off/Pick Up as 0f 3/14/2011Families who use the Mary Agnes Road drop off are now allowed to park on the even side of the street. (this is the side of the street with the sidewalk.) This change is due to the safety hazard of having to drop students off on the opposite side of the street where there were no sidewalks.
A big thank you to a committed group of parents who wrote a letter to town officials to have the change made!
No Parking Changes in 2011 for Turner Rd Drop Off/Pick Up
Parents parking out behind the school on Turner Road will continue to follow the same plan that has been in place since the beginning of the school year.Due to the traffic pattern and safety issues that would result in changing the parking plan, there will not be a change out back on Turner Road. New signage will be put up in the coming months, which supports our current parking plan.

Drop and Pick Up at Turner/Griffin Roads Back Entrance to the School:
Parents are to observe one way traffic on the circle comprised of Turner, Griffin and Ashmont Roads. (Please do not drive in against the one way traffic. It causes major safety issues and puts our children in a dangerous situation.) Turner Road is meant to allow a steady flow of cars pulling forward to drop off or pick up students. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON TURNER ROAD. If you wish to get out of your car with your child to walk your child to school or to wait in the school yard, please drive past Turner Road, turn left onto Griffin Road and park your car on the right-hand side of Griffin Road. Please do not let children exit the car on the left hand side into traffic. Please do not park on Turner during afternoon pickup. Please pull down Griffin Road and park as you do in the AM.
Drop Off and Pick Up in the front of the School:
For the safety of our students, the driveway in front of the school building is reserved FOR BUSES ONLY from 8:50AM - 9:15AM and 2:50PM - 3:15 PM
as indicated on the sign to the right entrance to the Potter Road School driveway. Cars are not allowed to come into the parking area during those times. Families wishing to use the front entrance to the Potter Road Elementary School are directed to pull into Mary Agnes Road. You may park or drop your child off so that they can use the sidewalk to walk up to the crossing guard. Per the Framingham Police Department NO PARKING is allowed on Potter Road due to the increased amount of traffic. It limits visibility and narrows the road considerable for buses and traffic.
If the driveway has not been plowed, do not enter the driveway at all. Park on Mary Agnes Road and walk your child to school. This procedure will allow the town to clear the driveway and may prevent you from getting stuck.
Bicycle Traffic:
All students who ride their bikes to school are asked to remember to wear helmets. Once on the school property, all students are asked to walk their bikes to the bike racks located next to the playground. Students should remember to lock their bikes and make sure that they are secure before leaving them on the bike rack.

Town of Framingham Parking Regulations
The parking regs were changed last May in the town of Framingham. All residents were informed in the following ways: 
- they were sent out to print and electronic media sources
- mailed along with quarterly tax bills
- listed on the town website
- phone notification system sent out a town wide notification to 26,000 homes and business
- Signs erected in 23 central locations in town (see attached photo of sign at Elm by Potter rd)
Other parking regs in Framingham include the following which are generally present in other communities:
- No parking where prohibited by sign
- No parking w/in 10 ft hydrant
- No parking more than 1 ft from curbing
- No parking w/in 20 ft intersection
- No parking on sidewalk
- No parking in wrong direction
- No blocking driveway
- Parking on ODD/EVEN side parking according to year
- No Obstructing snow plowing

The Potter Road School Day goes from 9:10 AM to 3:10 PM
Vehicles are prohibited from entering the school grounds between 8:50 AM and 9:15 AM and 2:50 PM and 3:15 PM to allow for the safe arrival and departure of buses and students.
