Anne Higgins--Director of Bilingual, ESL, and Sheltered English:
Dr. Hiersche is pleased to announce that Anne Higgins will be the Director of Bilingual, ESL, and Sheltered English for the Framingham Public Schools. Ms. Higgins will start her new position on August 1, 2010. Ms. Higgins will be leaving her current position as Education Specialist at the State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She has held that position since 2007. Prior to joining the state, Ms. Higgins had been employed by Worcester Public Schools for nearly twenty years as a Spanish World Language Teacher, Master Teacher, and Acting Assistant Director of Bilingual Education. She is a current and practicing member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
New Principals Named for 2010-2011
Superintendent Hiersche is pleased to announce the appointment of the following Elementary Principals:
Mr. Franklin Rothwell II: Brophy Elementary School --
Mr. Rothwell II has been appointed the Interim Principal at Brophy Elementary School. Mr. Rothwell has been a member of the Framingham Public Schools since 1999. For the past six years, he has been a Vice Principal at Framingham High School. He has also served as History Department Chair and as a History Teacher. In making the announcement, Superintendent Hiersche stated, “ Frank is an experienced administrator in the district who will be bringing his skills to the Brophy community.” Mr. Rothwell is currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Education in Administration program. He is a resident of Framingham with two children.
