The Special Education Department provides specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Students eligible for Special Education services have Individualized Educational Programs that can include both Special Education and Regular Education classes. The primary goal of the department is to support and encourage maximum student involvement in regular education classes to the extent appropriate. The Special Education Department and the Framingham High School community are committed to meeting the educational and emotional needs of students with learning challenges in the least restrictive environment. Each Framingham High School student with special needs is placed in accordance with the TEAM evaluation process. This process involves exploring and documenting all regular education alternatives prior to referral to Special Education.
