Framingham High School Library
FHS Library Book Tower Poetry Contest
The Challenge: Construct a short poem (serious or funny) out of book titles, stacking the books up in a tower and reading the poem down the side. An example created by Mrs. Lovett is on the right.
The Contest: Take a picture of your book tower poem and email it to Ms. Courchesne, send it to her on twitter, or post it to the FHS Library facebook page. Teachers and students can enter the contest; the winners, in both teacher and student categories, will be chosen by the Open Verse club. The winning poems will be featured in this space on the Library webpage for the next semester. You can see all the current entries here.
The Deadline: submit your poem's selfie by Jan. 23rd.
The FHS Library has a collection of more than 21,000 print and media materials.
Students need a student I.D. number to check out materials.
Books are loaned for 3 weeks, media for 1 week. Reference books must be used in the library; however, a coin-operated photocopier is available for student use.
Students with overdue materials must return or pay to replace damaged or lost items before they may check out additional library resources.
