In First Grade...
 |
We will read lots of books in first grade: fiction and non-fiction.
|
|
|
We will learn about letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make.
|
|
|
We will write stories and poems.
|
|
|
In Math, we will learn about fractions, 3-dimensional shapes, > and < symbols, and math facts.
|
|
|
We will learn how to do number puzzles, frames and arrows, and in and out puzzles.
|
|
|
In Science, we will study animals and their habitats, solids and liquids, features of the Earth, and the life cycle of the frog.
|
|
|
In Social Studies, we will study the family, families long-ago (Pilgrim families), families far away (Japan), Martin Luther King, Jr., and maps and globes.
|
|
|
We will have homework!
