All cars are prohibited from entering the circular drive during arrival and dismissal to faciliate bus traffic and ensure the safety of all students.  Please take note of the times below:

NO CARS may enter the circular drive from

• Morning - 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
• Afternoon - 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

If your child enters the school building after 9:05 a.m., he/she must first go to the office and get a late pass before proceeding to class.

TOWN OF FRAMINGHAM PARKING REGULATIONS

Safety is our first priority regarding all of our students, including walkers, bus riders, and dropoffs/pickups.  It is important that we all work together in the best interest of ALL students.  Please keep in mind the following suggestions/regulations regarding arrival and dismissal due to the expected increase of traffic around the Dunning neighborhood :

• Parking is restricted on the sides of Frost Street and Teri Road with ODD NUMBERED houses.  Please park ONLY on the side of Frost Street that is closest to Dunning from Brook Street to Edgell Road.  Cars can be ticketed if parked on the opposite side from Dunning.
    
• Cornell Road CAN be used for LIVE drop off and pick up of students.  Please do not park and leave your car in the Cornell Road cul-de-sac.  Staff are on duty at the back of the building as of 8:55 so it is not necessary to walk your children down the stairs.
    
• When children are dropped off on Frost Street, please be sure that they exit the vehicle on the PASSENGER side to avoid doors opening into the street.
    
• Please do NOT double park at any time on any road surrounding Charlotte Dunning.  Cars that are double parked can be ticketed and/or towed.
    
• Leave sufficient time for school arrival by considering an increased level of traffic on Frost Street.  Please consider the many road construction projects around town, as well.
    
• Consider having your children walk in groups instead of driving them due to the insufficient parking around the school grounds.  Consider implementing a "Walking School Bus" from the MassRides program.

Pick-up Procedure:

Cars are not allowed to enter the circular drive between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Please park on Frost Street and walk up the drive.

Students being dismissed prior to 2:45 on full days or 12:45 on early-release days will be dismissed from the main office.

If you would like your child, who normally rides the bus, to be dismissed with the walkers you must call the office BEFORE 2:30pm so that the office staff has time to let your child know that he/she will be picked up at dismissal and will not be taking the bus.

At dismissal time:

• Kindergarten students will exit door # 15 (near K classrooms)
• Walkers who use the Cornell Road steps will exit out either door #7 or door # 13.
• All other non-bus students will be exiting door # 14 (near Guidance office).
