Fourth graders will...

  • experiment with diversified shapes and colors, and with visual and one-point perspective.
  • explore weaving and metal tooling techniques.
  • develop painting, drawing, and construction skills.
  • continue to develop concepts related to texture, color, line, shape, space, balance, contrast, rhythm, movement, and repetition.
  • examine appropriate representative works of art from various periods and cultures.
  • recognize the connection between the appreciation and production of art with other subjects.
  • begin to develop techniques used in critiquing art work.
