Third graders will...

  • explore stenciling, printmaking, stitchery, and lettering.
  • continue to develop concepts related to texture, color, line, shape, balance, contrast, rhythm, movement, and repetition.
  • refine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
  • explore signs, symbols, and symmetry.
  • examine appropriate representative works of art from various cultures.
  • recognize the connection between the appreciation and production of art with other subjects.
