This section of the website is designed to introduce parents and students to the Framingham Student Outcomes at each of the grade levels.  We are committed to providing an environment which promotes an understanding of personal responsibility, an acceptance of others, a sense of respect, and a willingness to discover and learn.

The outcomes listed under each grade level curriculum are broad, general highlights for each area.  Printable versions of these outcomes are available on the Curriculum Digests & Program of Studies page.

For a more inclusive, detailed description please refer to the specific subject area curriculum guides available in each school.  Although the curriculum areas are presented separately, subject matter is integrated whenever possible.     Please be aware that the curriculum is constantly being reviewed and updated – and that some areas currently listed may be in the process of revision.

The Framingham Public School system maintains a comprehensive early childhood through twelfth grade curriculum, including students in Special Education, Title I, and Bilingual programs, which is designed to:

  • teach basic communication, cognitive, and computational skills.
  • promote mathematical and scientific awareness.
  • cultivate an awareness of history, geography, government, and the humanities as they relate to the past, present, and future.
  • foster creativity.
  • instill an appreciation for and proficiency in the arts.
  • develop occupational competency and the capacity and desire for lifelong learning.
  • encourage an understanding of multicultural values.
