Guess How Many Contest

To add to the spirit of Friday Frenzy, the Physical Education Dept organized a "Guess How Many" Contest. Into the display case near the cafeteria, we put a lot of colorful balls that we have for different games in PE. The challenge was to guess the exact number of balls in the display case.  The contest ran for 3 days Wed-Fri.

Students were encouraged to take a look at the case and place a guess by writing their names and guess on a piece of paper.  We had 237 guesses. We had 14 students with the correct answer of 48 balls.

The 14 students won 10 pieces of Kelby Cash. Those 14 names were placed in a bin and one winning name was drawn. Mario Velazquez, grade 6, was the grand prize winner and he won 50 more Kelby Cash.

The  correct answers of 48 balls were from: Megan LaPlante, Tatiana Hernandez, Lukas Peisel, Andres Quinones, Carly Scata, Weliton Sousa, Rebecca Martino, Zayrah Campos, Daniel Carreiro, Kelsy D'Allesandro, Evan Fisher, Spencer Lynch, and Luan Moreira,

Sixth graders Allie Concetti and Abby Murphy, along with Mr. Kelberman and Mrs. Dauer, helped remove the balls from the display, count the balls in a grid, sort the votes for the correct guesses, count the number of guesses in total, and help award the prize to Mario.

Thanks to all who guessed and to these students who helped solve how many balls there were in the case.

Stay tune for our next contest.
