Cameron Cares:

Cameron Middle School is dedicated to contributing to our community.  Here are some of the projects we are participating in this year.

  Food Drive

Each year we have made a commitment to collect food for the local food pantry, A Place to Turn. Last year we began a collection each month and this year has been no exception. We are asking families to donate canned goods, spaghetti, peanut butter, and other non-perishable items the first Friday of each month. We are committed to helping the food pantry restock their shelves.

In addition, the NMTW Community Credit Union has us weigh our food each month and they generously pay us twenty-five cents a pound. They then write out a check to A Place to Turn. We are excitedto be able to give them both food and money.

   Bottles and Cans for Veterans

This will be our third year collected redeemable bottles and cans for the veterans of Framingham. Last year we collected and donated $200.00 to the veteran?s association of Framingham. It would be nice to make a larger donation this year, and we could use your help. In the past years we just counted on students and teachers for their bottles and cans. So this year we are asking for your help to do that. There are several receptacles around the building for students and teachers, and ask that you encourage your student to use them. If you can contribute, please bring them in when you visit or send them with your students. The veterans have given a lot, and this is only a small way in which we can show our appreciation.
