The Framingham School Committee is please to announce the opening of the search for the new Superintendent of Schools to begin July 1, 2017. In the next serveral months the Committee will be conducting focus groups to hear what qualities, skills and attributes they wish to see in the new Superintendent and what the focus of the Superintendent should be in the first 6-12 months of coming to Framingham. In addition to the focus groups the School Committee will be orgainizing a Screening Committee comprised of all the district stakeholders to help identify qualified candidates. The School Committee will also use the services of Dr. Anthony Bent of New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to help with the organization and facilitation of the search process. Once the final candidates have been identified there will be a series of community meetings with the candidates in order to provide an opportunity for them to know more about our community and vice versa. Our goal is to have the new Superintendent identified by end of February. This is a work in progress and updates will be added when available.
